Rear Diff
i was wondering if anyone knew how many quarts it takes to put in a 96 ls400 differential i was told 1.4 quarts but i just want to make sure

1.4 quarts is recommended for pre 1995 though. The common method is to fill it to the bottom level of the fill hole. Not sure if it is 1.6 Quarts or 1.8 Quarts.

Having just changed my differential on my 92. It took 1.5 quarts from BONE DRY. As the others have said, just fill it until it starts to dribble out of the fill hole. This will be enough.
