yeah. i too wonder what is the ideal or good size of wheel and offset to get a vip look on the 1LS ther the lip is really close to the fender but does not hit and the fatttest lip possible, with the widest tires possible. pretty much pushing all the limits ha :-)

aggressive 19s are what you want.

Nano, you arent going to be pushing any limits unless your Slammed and shaved/rolled (fenders...)....

id say a decent setup would be 19x9 +25 s-low and 19x10 +20 s-low without being overly extreme. not the "best" setup but unless you wanna pull the fenders thats prolly the most you could fit on a 1st gen.

dont' get 20's. they look like crap unless they are seriously perfect in fitment, which no off the shelf 20" wheel is, adn your are dropped. 19's work well, but pay attention to hte width and offset. puredrifter is right on with the specs, get something just like that and you'll be happy.

be specific, 20s on a FIRST gen look bad 95% of the time

thanks for the info i know 20's look like sh%t and are to big im on 2nd gen gs 17's their nice but not what i want anymore i figured 19's and i wanna drop but whats the sacrifice as far as ride quality being that i have stock air suspension, is it really a pain in the *** to make the switch and ive heard leave this job to the pros for sure so im not going to try this on my own by any means anyone have a quality name that they can recomend with a not so steep price

19's man, the only way to roll on a 1LS.

Mine are 10.5 in the rear with a 38+ offset (I think, its close anyways) No spacers and they dont rub with just a rolled fender:

And 19's for size ref: (lowered on Tanabe springs):

Edit: I just noticed those pics make it look way higher than it is, they have settled alot since then, I tuck alittle tire now. Ohh and excuse the crappy bodywork, need to finish my showtruck before this gets paint!

I second that

If you want an aggressive stance, get some 19s. They do look alot cleaner than 18s or 20s

I personally have 18s because it handls a little bit sportier while maintainin it's ride quaulity and i dont worry about pot holes if i accidentally hit one or am forced into one.

I know I'm totally in the minority here, but I do like some 1Gens with 20's I don't think mine are too blingy, but compared to most of the rims on this site, they would be considered as such, and I'm cool with that.

I have had 20s on all my cars (for the past few years), and even 24's on my truck, and never bent any of the them, even hittin potholes pretty bad. You gotta keep your air pressure in check constantly. The only rims I bent were 19's on my LS, thanks to the younger bro hittin a curb going 20-25 while taking out his girfriend on a date

If I was going to slam my car, I would definitely go back to 19s, but since I am not plannin on slammin it I decided to stick with 20's.
