Hey Guys! first post, have been lurking for awhile, love the site, thanks to some stickies ive fixed some probs i have with it . i purchased my 1990 LS400 for $700 with a bad tranny in DEC 2007, Its in great shape. I had it replaced and it runs like a champ. awesome car. Im having some problems with it though 'O/D OFF' keeps flashing on and off ,in about 3-4 second intervals. any ideas? next my Speedometer doesnt work the needle is half way lit and then my temp gauge works fine but its just half way lit, it looks burnt out halfway. i have a bad relay/sensor, the one that lets you know when you open the door while the key is in the iginition, ive linked it with a loud buzzin noise when it just sits no key all doors closed it just buzzez till the key is in the ignition and the reminder chime works when it does not buzz, Just yesterday it died on me, got a jump and today when i go to turn it on its dead again, think the starter is bad, after replacing the battery car has power, when i go to start it its sounds like ZZZZZZZ. just buzzing till i turn the key back.

any help is greatly apperciated.

get your alternator checked,autozone,clean your negative battery terminal with sand paper,the noise you describe is weird ,i know the chime when the door is open and key is in ignition but you should check your battery with a volt meter it should be around 12.5 with car off and 13.5 or 14 with it on.Are you running any aftermarket audio in your car?
