Default Climate control bulb(s) question

Are the bulbs in the climate control wired in series or parallel?

When I bought the car, only one of the OEM bulbs in the climate control actually worked, so I assumed the rest were blown out and just went ahead and ordered 10 12v #74 LED's. So I got them and they wouldn't work in the bases of the old ones, so I just soldered them in.

Well, I plugged it in and none of them work. I don't know if they have to be reversed or something, but I find it weird that not a single one lit up. I'm going to guess that all 7 were in working order before I put them on since they were new. Any ideas on wtf is going on here?

Hmmm.. makes sense. Now this may sound stupid, but how do I know which way the current flows in my non-marked LED's? There's two different colored resistors at the bottom of each base. I think one is red and the other is green.

umm, LEDs only work one way, most of the time, when you LOOK at the LED itself, ,the wire with the little "extra bit" is normally the positive side. (aka Cathode).

ask google on "identifying positive LED"

Okay, nevermind that. I guess unlike any of the other cars I've owned, the climate control lights in the LS only turn on when the car is started. I drove the car to the local 7-11 and they lit up awesome!

Furthest right and furthest left buttons don't light up, so I'll have to look into that, but the LCD and everything else lights up great! I was also surprised that there is very little "spotlight"-ing on the LCD too.
