98-00 Factory LS Wood Color Names/Codes
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew all of the names/codes to factory wood colors. I'm pretty sure there was more than just one. I'll be buying a wood wheel/shifter and want to make sure not to buy the wrong color.
Thanks

Nope, I don't know anything more than tcbted does. I also think it was called California Walnut - I have a brochure someplace but I can't find it.
As far as I know, the only other wood (Bird's Eye Maple) used on the 98-00 body style was used only on the 2000 LS400 Platinum Series like I have.
Personally I think the leather steering wheel and shift lever I had on my 1990 LS400 (drove it 13 1/2 years) was more pleasant to the touch than the wood steering wheel I have on my 2000 LS400.
The wood wheel and shifter do look nice though.

As Kansas said, there is only two colors. However, within the California, you can get different styles and of wood. I remember i bought a center piece from eBay once that matched my doors in PATTERN (not color).
Also, the steering wheel was always a bit more reddish then the console, and the rest of the car for a strange reason (now the one on my GS is also different). It didnt match 100%, and both of them were factory installed.

also, is it just me or on a sunny day does the wood get a LOT hotter than the leather part of the wheel?
