I use a glass cleaner that doesn't contain any harsh chemicals. I can't remember the name off the top of my head. Basically get the dirt off with rags and towels.
Then I went over the plastic with basic armorall. But, instead of slopping it on, I wiped it off afterward to give it a dull shine.

Again, thank you all. I still have some work to do with the wheels and tires. I need to pull the wheels and clean the underside of the wheel arches. Likewise, some touchup paint is in order.
The original owner was a golfer and the rear bumper has some marks on it.
All-in-all, currently the nicest vehicle I've ever had the pleasure to own. Even at 12+ years old it is smoother, quieter and far more comfortible than my 2005 GTO --- and it has better paint too!

I say the same thing about my 95 bro - I drive 80 miles roundtrip to work and the car still drives like new - glad you like it. It will give you many more years of enjoyment.

I've done it once on my GTO at about 25k miles and once on the Lexus. I guess you could do it before each wax, but it really depends on the condition of the paint of your car to begin with.
