mpg diagnosis
I live in North Carolina drive about two miles to and from, in city driving and am getting 9-12 mpg. I was getting 12mpg with a horrendously dirty air filter, changed it, and now I'm getting 9 mpg. Is there a problem? I don't have a lead foot, or at least I don't think so.

That's about ballpark for a two mile city driving trip. Unfortunately the car consumes about twice as much fuel when cold, as it does when fully warmed up. And 9-10mpg is what I get on a very short trip as well. Best advice is to check for trouble codes and keep your foot out of it

How long has it been since you replaced your ignition coils? I had a fauly ignition coil, replaced my plugs, wires, caps, rotors, coils, and I had much more power and much better gas mileage afterwards. You should get closer to 15 mpg.

sorry for not responding quickly my internet was down. I don't know how long it has been since I changed the cap because I just bought the car about a month ago. I am using regular but 9 mpg just seems excessive.
