Default 98 Tems ?

Hi all , I can get full set of 98 LS400 airshocks in good nick at the right price , I just don't know if they still have the TEMS like previous years ?
Can anybody help .
I have a brother who has fitted later model [ year 2000 ] conventional struts straight into his 93 LS so I'm not worried about them physically fitting , just the electronics .

the struts will PHYSICALLY fit but the problem is that the strut rod is too long, causing them to compress much more than is necessary and prematurely wearing them out (VERY quickly)

not sure if this will apply to the Air Shock tho

by tems i take it u mean the high mode or the dampening adjustment?

I should have said the dampening adjustment , it stands for Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension...TEMS
Hmmm , I don't think the length thing will/would apply to the air struts ??
Just as long as the 98 units had TEMS as the guy that's got them didn't pull them out...I think .
When I posted a question about the motor drives that sit on top of the strut [ which are missing in the pic's ] he just said that the units are complete and that's how they came out .
Soooo , what hapened to the four motor drives ??
Are they the same as ealier units , or has Lexus changed them ?
How long is a piece of string /
Why can't we have a piece of the world or is that why can't we have world peace ?
Why can't I already know this ?

Any and all help most much mega appreciated !!

actually im pretty sure after looking into it a bit that the later model air shocks will have the same premature failure problem if fit into a 1st gen. there is still a shock in the equation (not JUST an air bag iirc) and therefore it will be compressed more often and much more than it was originally designed for.

sry, no idea how tems was set up on 2nd gens, 2nd gen with air are rare in NA

How long is a piece of string /
double the length from one side to the middle

Why can't we have a piece of the world or is that why can't we have world peace ?
God and religion respectively.

Why can't I already know this ?
Because then you wouldnt ask?
