as much as i luv lexus, i would choose mercedes. i know they have issues, i know they r risky to own, and i know that parts or a mother to buy, but to me, mercedes will always be the top. in the phillipnes, if u own a mercedes, u were top notch, and u still r. and thats why my grandpa has always had em and thats how i got mine. he gave me it. now he has a 1999 s500, a 2005 s 500 and a 1991 560 sec. so please dont hate me for this, but i would choose the mercedes. i hope i dont get any hate for that lol

 

lmao, while id take the Q over the 7 (close race) and the S (no contest), the interior is a POS compared to the same year LS. also, the G50 had a decent motor but the stupid pos 4.1L lump that was in teh Y33 was anemic as hell.

oh, and have you ever had to fix stupid $@*!ing HICAS before?!?

oh, and an 02 isnt even in the year range, if u bump the yearage up your competing with LS430s, GS430s, and 745s

 

I've had to put a HICAS Eliminator on my Z32...that was not fun. Q45s have nice looking headlights, barnone.

 

I adore the 92-99 s-class. W140 right? I've only been in one twice, but that thing was so comfortable and cavernous. Makes my ls400 seem like the size of a camry....

I just think those S-class cars are gorgeous, elegant and refined. If i could afford to maintain a 100k car, i would get one. But i can't so an old LS400 will have to do.

I always felt bad for q45's, being the underdog to the top dog LS400.

If there were no LS400, I would DEF pick up a BMW 740I. Those things are impressively quick and I LOVE the older 740 styling. They are beautiful cars.

But there is an LS400, so the 740 is SOL.

 

Mmmm you may be correct on two counts, but Toyota will never be a Piece os *****. Acura is alright, but its just not luxurious, nor prestigious enough to hang with ANY on the big dogs like Lexus can.

Nothing against you but...Chryslers are pretty ugly vehicles. I personally would never drive a chrysler...ever. I'd rather drive a Buick.

 

omarg, i totally agree with u, theres just something about those ars. thereinteriors r ugly but idk its just one of those cars. but the more u ride imn them, the more u realize how great of cars they r. even the earlier generation s class were great. and the only easonmy grandpa can afford to maintaitn his mercedes is beacuase one of his patients owns a mb dealership and services my grandpas mb 's for free

 

What I said was that for the same price of A 99' ls 400, you could get an 02' q45. 345 horses and WAY better interior than A 99' LS we are talking same amount of money. PAY ATTENTION!

 

To each his own and I agree a lifetime warranty is a great deal but a 300m over my LS........? I will pass on Chrysler's even those with the 22's

2nd choice = Beemer
3rd choice = Benz... and sell it to buy a Lexus
4th choice = suicide before I ever drive an Audi.

 

....i have a '99 LS, and i sure as hell didnt pay 15-18k (current SALE price for q45s from 02+ with similar mileage) for it.
