price on the mines website is either $816.557939 or $1,497.022887. why is there 2 versions?
unless i mistranslated one price is before taxes and the other is after taxes+excise fees.

My brother sourced it from trademe.co.nz for $495.00 , it seems nobody over there knew what it was or it's rareity and value and yes Pito I will take some pics when I get some time to take it out and remove the panels .
I have been told that it's not just piggy backed onto the Lexus ECU but that the entire guts has been replaced ??

I just received my Blitz Access ECU in the mail today.

I've used plenty of different types and brands of ROM Tuned ECU in the past 7 years+. So I am looking forward to getting it fitted and tested.

Rom Tuned ECU such as Sard, Blitz, Mines, etc.. are Daughter boards that are connected to your OE ECU. You can tell if you have a Tuned ECU as it is physically bigger than a normal one because of the additional board.

The guts are not "replaced" but reflashed. OE Rom Tuned ECU are nice because you still have all the safeguards as the OE, but with increased timing, fuel curve and limiters removed (Boost, speed, rev, etc where applicable)

Here are some pics of the one I purchased recently:

I hope this info helps the community. I don't mean to thread hi-jack. So if the OP wants me to start a new thread I will.

Peace.

It was used.

Most USED Tuned ECU are $500-700 range.

New are $1500-2200

I have just test fit the ECU and I'm going for a drive now.

I will track test and dyno test the a/f ratio at a later date. Hopefully this week for the track test.

Peace.

I just went for a test drive.

Holy Fhak... It's much much faster. Easy 20-25 WHP. 40 crank hp is believable after testing.

The Torque is insane. I wish I had LSD.. (now.. where did that supra rear diff go...)

It was only by freak coincidence that I found this last one. I didn't even own a LS400 yet when I first laid eyes upon it.

I ordered it the same day I bought the '93! I didn't want to miss the chance.

If I see another I'll post it up.

Default re: Blitz ECU

after further review...

40hp(~25whp) is a stretch. I was most likely overwhelmed by the alteration of the shift points and additional grunt. The ECU produces more power under the curve - that is for sure!! (ie: it makes maybe 10-15whp up top, but the low and midrange power is a much more welcome addition. )

The torque improvement and shift points can be easily felt. The torque comes on much stronger. Due to the increased timing. The midrange is stronger. The power delivery isn't as dull as it was before. Much more responsive.

At peak hp output (5600) this "feels" (read=butt dyno ) about ~10-15whp more. With a mildly tuned 1UZ-FE, I would expect another 5-10whp easy. I haven't had enough time to really test this out. I will do more track testing next week.

Either way- bang for buck for me was great! And now I have another ECU just incase.

Later I will get on the dyno and test the OE and Blitz ECU. I haven't had much time to test the A/F ratio. Time will tell...

Cheers!

p.s. Rich, thank you for letting me share your thread.
