I don't know about the 2nd gen Q45, but the first gen Q45 had four wheel steering. I think current M35/45 has that. It also had some other feature, can't remember which one, that is very rare.
My wife and I are in our third day (05/11/07) of an eight day Hertz rental of a 2007 Infinity M35 in the Boston area. I may have missed it but I didn't see anything about four wheel steering when I looked at the M35 owners manual. But as "twitchy" as the steering is, maybe four wheel steering is at the root of the unpleasant handling.
Considering how much I liked the 01 Q45 I drove in 2003, I am very surprised at how much I dislike this 07 M35. It seems small and cramped and I can't find a comfortable seat position - I feel pinned inside the side bolsters of the seat and there is not enough back support even when I inflate the lumbar support to the max. None of the controls seem intuitive and many seem in completely the wrong place. And why would any car company want to emulate BMW's I-drive?
Yes, the "keyless go" is sort of nice and the trunk size is very good for such a small car. And the Bluetooth and steerable HID headlights are nice. But the engine is noisy and there is way too much road noise. I can't imagine stuffing a 4.5 V8 into this little car.
The previous generation Infinity "M" seemed far superior to this 07 M35 I am driving this week.
