Did you upgrade from a Pinto or something worse to your new Lexus
What is it like now, what year is your car, how did you accomplish such a feat, and how did you feel driving the pinto, yugo, bobcat or old long 70's gas gusszler.

funny thing is, i had my first lexus back in 2000! i sold my galant vr4 to get my current LS, not really a step "up" in my opinion, just kind of a side step. the galant had many qualities that the ls doesn't , namely speed, handling, traction, speed, etc. the ls has the comfort, quiet and image.

I bought my LS in 96 and in 99 decided to buy an Avalon XLS. I lowered it, added BBS deep dish wheels and spoilers. It was pearl white and a sweet looking car. I kept in ONE year and sold it. The old LS won out and continues to do so and it is 2007
I still love my old LS

great car, and something weird about it is that the leather interior seems to hold up to the test of time better than lexus leather! there are a couple hard spots on the front seats from the sun and the top of the back seat, but everywhere else, it's still like new!no tears either.

well, first true beater car was a 88 toyota tercel, 3 speed (!) A/T. 0-60 was about 17 seconds I'd say. Absolute POS, but ran good.
2nd car, 96 V6 honda accord EX, leather , the works. Sweet *** car, but way too common...traded for a 93 acura legend LS sedan.
The legend is still my baby and its a great car (I still prefer the styling over LS), but the lexus is undoubtedly a faster more plush ride.

Before the Lexus, my daily driver was an 04' Mustang Cobra with a Whipple supercharger. The car was/is faster than almost anything on the road. It made 556hp and 523tq at the wheels on a dyno. However, even though the Lexus is no where near as fast, it's SO much more comforable. I hardly even drive the Cobra any more.
Actually, the last time I drove it, all I could think of was how loud it was. I use to like loud, but not so much any more. The Lexus is a dream to drive. I just wish I would have discovered/been able to afford a Lexus sooner.

Good story on the Cobra. My other car is a 350z touring that I bought for fun. It is loud and uncomfortable but I still like to drive it. Since I have done the mods to my old LS I drive it more now even on the weekends
