I was idling yesterday and the starter started making sounds as if I was starting the car, I turned the key off but the car kept running, so I disconnected the battery. Reconnected the battery and the car tried to start with the key turned off.. WTF is going on here??? its a 91 LS 400

 

key cylinder is toasted by the sound of things.

 

Pure drift I think you got it........my mech. was toying with it and the car started behaving fine........hit me with a part number and price please....thanks

 

no idea, best bet is to call carson and see what they can do for ya?

idk if u can ever just replace the key cylinder on the early models

My dad use to have a Ford Astrovan.
And we would be driving and he takes out the key and were still running.
