Question AC Air Filter ?

I've read there is an AC filter on the LS400 but
don't know if it is only for later models/
I cannot locate mine, I have a 1991 LS400.
I read somewhere it is behind the glove box, that there was a panel to remove but mine is a single
moulded box. No panel back there .
Does any one know specifically about the 1st gen
Ls400 ? Thanks.

I think it's back there. Look again. I thought the same thing as you with my '97 but found it after looking a couple of times.

If your owners manual set has a schedule fro changing out an A/C air filter then you have one.

Otherwise, punt!

A 1997 model is a bit easier to locate. On your model you will need to remove the lower black trim piece at the bottom of the glovebox near the floor. There is two wingnuts, remove the wingnuts and the access door, remove the filters, pay attention how they come out to make reinstallation less time consuming.

Good Luck.

Unhappy No Luck ?

Lextek,
I could not find it ?
I don't see a black trim piece at all
near or around the bottom of the glove box.
The entire box looks like it can be pulled
out. Do I have to do this first?

I have removed the lower knee bolster
panel, below the glove box, near the floor,
but didn't see any wingnuts down there or
panels etc.

Am I missing something ?

I think AC-Airfilters were first mounted in the 93 model(16"wheels). We have a 92 model and no airfilter. I would like to install one but don't know if 93 one would fit in older ones.
