My 1992 w/ 2018 Toyota Sienna 17" OEM wheels and 225/50/17 tires. Just happened to run across them online for $225 (all 4!) fresh off a new Sienna at a Toyota lot. The offset put me just under being flush with the fenders. Trying to decide if I need a drop with H&R spring but don't want to scrub... at all. Not interested in coilovers due to the firm ride.

Hi Guys,
I have read all of the posts in this thread but still a little gun shy on purchasing wheel and tires, I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I have a 1990 LS400 that for now is totally stock, my plan was to buy a set of 18" x 7.5" 45mm LS430 wheels and mount a set of 235/40/R18's on them, then when I get the funds purchase a set of BC coil overs and drop the car a couple of inches.. Will this combo work without rubbing? I don't really want to roll the inner fender lips. I'm open to all suggestions.
Thanks in advance
Pete

You don't need to roll and there will be no rub since the overall diameter will be nearly identical. If you drop the car "a couple of inches" then you very well might rub.

You really want 245\45\18, it's within 0.3% of the OEM spec so your speedo' will still be accurate. I don't know if you can upsize one tick on those rims to a wider tire. Mine are 18x8 while yours are 18x7.5.
