1997 ls400 climate control sceen out

My ls400 climate control lcd is out, the green backlight is on and none of the functions work. any ideas? I don't want to spend my mortgage at the dealership, thanks Schroeder

Try looking for a fuse. If that's not the case, the wire in the cig lighter might be shorting out the display. It happened to me too. As long as I don't pop out the ashtray, it's OK
