Gen2 strut rod bushings
My '98 has all the usual symptoms. Has anyone here done this work themselves? I just received my OEM bushings and tonight I jacked the car up and removed the bottom shield to have a look around. I also removed the left front tire. The first thing I noticed is that it looks like I have to remove the wheel well liners just to get the impact on the front nuts. Secondly, do I need to disconnect the spring strut to remove the bottom bracket from the steer arm knuckle? Also, I know I need to mark the position of the eccentric washers but in relation to what? Is it to the notches in the keeper brackets? One more question. While checking out other stuff, I noticed a thin flange of rubber protruding from the rear of the lower control arm bushing. Is this normal?
I know, I know, I should have a service manual and I'm sure I'll get one sometime. I guess I'm more looking for feedback from an average gearhead (like me) who's done this project. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks Drifter. I have found that document before and it gets me some of the way there but it doesn't detail the strut rod bushing process itself. I've been looking a couple of cd-rom manuals on ebay. Anyone have any advice on these?
