S500 with the sport package, no question about it. That is one sexy automobile. I wouldn't be caught dead driving a new LS430, they are one of the ugliest cars on the road. Sure they are fabulous and world class, but for 55-60k, I want a car that looks good.

Honestly, my aunt has the new LS and a 2000 S500, without a doubt, I would go S500, the luxury is superior, i mean christ the doors on the s500 shut automatically if dont shut it all the way. THe LS is quieter however, and the ride quality seems almost the same, the Lexus seems to have a little better ride quality. I dunno its a close call, the S500 will get you more looks, and it has more cool gadgets than the LS 430.

I doubt if you get as much gadgets on a S500 against the UL package on Lexus LS. Also, the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so if you don't like it, it does not mean it looks bad to everyone else.

Yes it is, but I'm sure the LS has parktronic or something similar.

Although the LS is my favorite Lexus,I kinda agree that the LS430 is kinda ugly in the front, but thats just my opinion.I like the pre LS 430 LS 400's the best espically the 98-00 LS400 models.

Although this LS 430 looks pretty sporty,I like the quads on the rear view.

The S-Class looks pretty dam awesome as well.

BIG PIMPIN! and Straight UP GANGSTA! I would not mind these two in my garage!

First off I am not here to start any ****. but I agree that the LS430 is one of the ugliest cars, looks to much like a freaking avalon for me. Now the 2000 Platinum Edition. that was a bad a$$ ride, this stock broker guy I know lets me take it out and clean it for him, fast as hell. But when you consider a S500, A BMW 740IL or and Audi A/S8 then the LS doesn't even compare

You don't like the LS430, but you drive a Nissan Maxima.....not a bad vehicle, but not what I would call a great looking car.

I guess looks are subjective since I thought the PE edition was nasty (I wont even mention the 7 series hum drum looks). As for comparison against a S500/740i/A8, LOL...been there done that....you obviously have no clue, but that's OK given you drive a riced out Max JK! Let us here YOUR perception as why the LS doesn't compare....for I'd love to hear this one and hope you're not just talking out of your **** Everyone is definitely entitled to their opinion and what you buy determines who you are more than what you say!

BTW> What's up with Max bombardment all of a sudden lol. Maybe it's time I pay a visit back to Maxipadland

Every so often, a few Nissan (usually Max) owners come here and start crap. Those that have been here for a while learn to deal with it. I once got in a VERY heated argument with some Maxima-owning-Lexus-haters a few months back (I was defending Lexus) and was almost banned by JohnnyMo The pilgrimage of Nissan owners to CL (a phenomenon, really) happens every other month or so, and goes away very quickly (usually only two or three Nissan owners per "invasion")...I don't know why they even bother to register. I guess they get tired of talking about their lame cars so they come here for their personal amsument...Annoying as hell...

Please stop acting like you are special just because you have a Lexus. And the reason I came on here was because I thought these forums were interesting, not b/c I'm tired of talking about my "lame" car.

What's your problem? You're one of few Max owners I DON'T have any beef with. I was talking about some other "post-flame-run" Max owners, not you. Think before you post.

EDIT: BTW a car doesn't make a person. A person makes a person. I don't think I was acting like I am special. Sorry if I can across that way...
