Default New to the forums, question on first gen!

Hello all, you got another newbie here. Though I've been over at Supraforums for a while my dad recently picked up a 1990 LS400 just a couple weeks ago and I've been trying to catch up on everything LS related as fast as I can. I'm intrigued by how well this car is made, and put together, and how its build quality bests many newer cars even today. Of course, no stranger to Toyota, so no surprises really.

Anyhow, I know that body-wise there were some subtle changes between the Series 1 and Series 2 1st gens, in the forms of wheels, grill, and side/front skirts. These improvements do make the car look a bit more substantial, and I was wondering if there is a way to make the Series 1 have this look as well? Is the grill easy to swap out? Are the side-skirt panels merely painted moldings, or are there actual panels that one would buy and attach on? Is this even possible or has it been done? Couldn't come up with anything on the search function just yet.

By the way, the LS is silver, only 60K miles, and doesn't squeak, rattle or nothing. Feels like a new car.

Thanks!
-Nick
