20" rims on LS 400
hi guys,
I recently purchases a 1993 Lexus LS400. About a week ago i got some 20" Dakar Accent rims with 245-35-20 tires. I got them installed at discount tires and after a while i started having problems with the tire rubbing against the sidewall. I talked to the guys at discount tires and they suggested to bend the area above the tire which is hitting. Some other people told me to get a wheel spacer. I wanted to see what people have done on their LS regarding this issue. The struts and springs are not stock, the past owner had changed them to some other strut assembly, but they are kinda soft. If someone has or knows people who have 20" rims on their LS400 please let me know. Im prolly gonna go to some custom rim shop or body shop to see what they say also. thanks.

You have 2 ideas thrown together that do not work the same.
If the fenders rub then you would need to roll them slightly . If the inner frame rubs then a spacer would help but adding a spacer to a tire rubbing a fender would only make it worse.
I have 255 and 275 on mine and the rear rubs in no way but the front does slightly because of my 15mm spacer to clear my 4 pot calipers. When i had 245's up front it did not rub at all.
