Default Repairing Worn Seat Frames/Lumbar Support

My 1993 LS400 makes a clicking noise when you lean back at starts/stops. . .it would seem that the drivers seat is 100% bolted down. . .and that the noise is NOT coming from the upright/back portion of the seat but rather the right hand side where the ground and the base of the seat meet. . .indicative of a worn "seat frame"? (not lumbar support or something else?)

A local upholstery shop that has done exclusive work for 10+ years with a Lexus dealership tells me that I would be shocked to know how many "new" Lexuses over the years have had this problem, especially the LS. . .that they're usually covered under warranty. . .and that when this problem occurs with older (165k?) cars. . .usually people just turn up the radio louder or learn to make do with the annoying sound. . .because the cost of replacing a worn seat frame is >$1.8-2.0+K (Lexus kit is $1,200-1,400 + at least 3-4 hours labor)!

So I visited a few independents and a body shop. . .one guy I spoke with tells me there may be a way to build a (his words): "bracket or brace to make the noice disappear or less noticeable".

I'd like to hear from Forum members, in terms of what they have been able to do, in solving the problem. . .economically. . .of repairing worn seat frames. . .and, if you have some familiarity with body shop artisianship within a car's interior, whether a bracket or brace might do the trick.

Thank you in advance!
