Default Removing tranny pan - how does the filler tube come off?

Hi there,

96 LS400

Not sure what to expect here, someone said it was in two parts, but I'm not sure what that really meant. Do I need to unclip the filler tube to pull the pan, or does it come loose somehow from the pan?

Thanks in advance,

Dean

Hello,

yes the tube comes in 2 parts. Make sure you geta new o ring. Just unbolz the pan and rest comes off by themself.

www.lexls.com there are some pics for example.

So, I know I'm going to be fiddling around with gasket material on the pan when I put it back. There's an O-ring somewhere on the join? The pics I saw on that site (thanks, by the way!) the join looked completely corroded.
