1UZ-FE V8 bits
My modified exhaust cams are back and in the car - just waiting on the shims.
Some pictures on how to do your own valve job (adjust the shims) - you may only need to replace a couple - I have heard that a tapping noise from the battery side of the engine is the intake shims near the firewall - you can still reach these ones without taking off the belt.
The intake between the AFM and the throttle with the built in resonator is best left alone.
See pictures and more words to all this stuff on my site.
What happened to the ECU test - I couldn't find the rest of the thread - isn't it a month old now? - any results?
best regards

Look at the revspeed meter manual - the pinouts for the Toyota ECU are there.

This should get you started.
You'll never find a wiring diagram for inside the ECU though (if you do please let me know!)
best regards

Nothing happened to ECU test. I don't know what the deal is but whoever tested it said that it did not work with our cars which is kind of weird since SC and LS are the same car.

Any of you guys contemplate on adding a Big Shot nitrous system? Do you guys think the motor can handle a 100 or 200 shot of giggle gas,? given that the motor is in good and able condition.

have any of you ls4 fellas timed your cars at the strip? or have an idea as to what the 1/4 mile time is, with and without mods? it would be interesting to find out since the ls4's dimentions are pretty similar to the SS

I have a 92' LS and i have a borla cat back exhaust system on it, and honestly it is EXACTLY what I wanted and it is not tacky, i have the L-Tuned tips on it.
I know i own an import car, there is nothing wrong with putting american parts on it, done right it can be the correct application!!!!!

Unfortunately, power and noise really come hand in hand, and if you want one(ie power) you usually cant have it without the associated noise. It is a shame to make such a smooth, quiet luxury car loud, but a well selected exhaust can give a decent performance increase without too much associated noise......
