Default 1st Gen. Clear tailights leaking!!

Hey guys, I just bought and installed a set of red/clear tailights for my 1st gen. ls400. All was well until it rained. The right hand section where the keyhole is, leaks horribly. I've taken the lights off several times and sealed it up with several different types of products. Nothing works!!! Has anyone else had this problem??? Returning the product is not an option.

Thanks,

Mike

My stupid advise since you can't seal it. Drill a hole to drain water then.

My front clear blinker is leaking water too. No doubt, that it was so cheap.

Drilling a hole would look so horrible. Think of the dirt and crap that would get up in there.

thats always been the issue with aftermarket lights... the suggestion i can offer is resealing which you have done already..

thats why the ones from Japan cost big bucks

Most aftermarket lighting will leak, and even some OEM ones also. The best advice would be using silicone to go around the seal once again and let it dry completely before installing the lights back onto your vehicle.
