Hello,
I have a 95 Ls400 that I just recently purchased, I drive about 25 miles to work every morning all freeway driving, as soon as I come to a stop it dies, it never does it any other time during the day.
Please advise,
Thanks for the bullitin. I have a '95 that does that. I had the whole 120 K mile service performed and the problem went away, even on a trip from Seattle to LA and back, never failed once. (They said they didn't know what it was though) However, just the other day it did it to me again, after drinving on the freeway for over 2 hours. annoying. Of course the dealer has never heard of the problem and has no idea why. I think I am going to suggest to them that they read this dang site.
I am an expert in what I do, all they have is 7 models and like 5 engines. Whats the big deal. Learn it! Ok, enough of my rant.
I am hoping my car falls into this category for part replacement. And, good luck with your '96.

Next time put your ac on and drive to work and see if it stalls when getting off freeway.
You will find quite a few posts regarding this issue via a search on the site. My 1995 does the same thing and I've grown accustomed to the problem. Tends to happen when I've been driving on the freeway...like you. Using the AC will work and sometimes I turn on as I leave freeway.
Until it happens more frequently, I'll live with it. Not a big deal to me and I've not found that it creates a hazard. You are not alone. Good Luck
Seems to be a more common problem with the 95 then the 96. Odd that they would have a TSB for the early production line of 96 and not mention the 95 as well.
