I neglected to mention that I also did replace my swaybar bushings, and it didn't help whatsoever. You can start there if you want, since it's the cheapest item to replace, but it did not eliminate the creaking for me.

I have spent many hours straining my neck and back under the rear of the car lubricating and greasing every single bushing and suspension point. The squeak isn't coming from the sway bar bushings.

I just sprayed the entire left rear shock shaft and coils with an aerosol spray cleaner and lubricant. The suspension is now silent.

I'm not sure if this is a guaranteed long term solution....I certainly hope so.

It sounds like it is the rubber spring insolaters on the top of the springs........you have to remove the spring and strut to inspect them and if good coat them with silcone grease and replace.

I hate to bring up old threads but.....

This squeak has finally been solved. It turned out to be the left rear shock shaft and piston squeaking. It's a non-serviceable part, so I bit the bullet and replaced all 4 shocks with OEM parts. The rear trailing arm rods and bushings were also worn, so they were replaced. The mechanics also spent 6 hours disassembling the whole rear end and greased everything, including spring bushings and coils.

Good as new now !

All for the grand total of A$2,700 !!
