Default Modify the Climate control

I was wondering if anybody here(LS) has modified the climate control unit to the bottom. I remeber seeing a GS modelthat moved the climate control, but I was curious as for the LS. If so, anybody know how?

I also saw that GS thread, I am also thinking of doing as well, depending on the headunit I buy.
The LS is close to the GS in the way they are set up..............the wires are long enough to move the ac controls down.....................GOOD LUCK Mike....................some pics when you do it !

Hmm.

The metal frame is wider at the top along with the actual climate unit.

I don't know about this one. If you REALLY wanted to do it I gues it could be done (like anything)..

I also read that retrodrive would be moving his climate control to teh center rest or somthing similar.

Id prefer moving it down for a "flush" look

Retro was over at my house for the BBQ / Meet the other week and he did not have it done yet, so I guess he is still going to work on it, but I did not ask him, sound very interesting !

As for me I am planning my steps very carefully and I am not in any hurry to put my system together.
My first step is to build a sub box over the gas tank with woofer firing into the car and amps on each side of the trunk so I still have my trunk and spare tire...........................Mike

dont confuse me mike, all I want is to figure a way to put the CC down

maybe you can ask him, which would be more better, one in the center rest, or modified to fit down?

Very nice dude! You even have some storage space left. I was going to do something similar but I haven't had my car for last 4-5 months. Post the pic of teh monitor also!

Not too shabby . The armrest thing is a great idea. However, when you say A LOT of wiring you're not kidding. The CCU has TONS of wires! Just splicing on longer wires probably took a long time.

I also want to see what your center console looks like .
