Default Occasional Code 41 (throttle position sensor) on 1990 LS400

I'm seeing the check engine light appear for several minutes, then disappear for days. It's always trouble code 41. Because the light does not remain on, the throttle position sensor must still be working. What could be causing this symptom?

Edit: Maybe it's the problem described in this video:

Another Edit: The problem has disappeared. It appeared when a different driver had been using the car, and it disappeared when that driver stopped using the car. I suspect that the computer made a mistaken interpretation of irregular throttle inputs. Or that my lead foot cured the problem!
