Can anyone help me out in locating a Lexus retractable rear window shade for my '92 LS400. This was a Lexus dealer accessory for the 1st gen LS400. Prefer new but used would be fine. Four Door.

 

I got one off of ebay, It was new and from a dealer. He had a lot of them. With shipping it was a little over thirty dollars. Kind of cheap looking,but I think it will work.

I checked out Ebay re the rear window shade and found a couple but I seriously doubt they are the same shade that was available from the Lexus dealers. I rcvd info from a former owner of a '90 LS400 who had one installed when he bought it new. According to him the plastic housing was the same color as the interior and a plastic template was used by the dealer to line up the holes for mounting into the rear window trim. I'm working on locating these shades in SE Asia but a part number would be very helpful. Rumor has it that the Japanese version of the LS400 had a number of options and accessories that were not available in the USA model. Hopefully the rear window shade was one of the Japanese accessories. If anyone has the part number it will make the search a little easier. Four Door.

I did not make myself clear. I bought the shade on Ebay. from a car parts dealer not from a lexus dealer. Go on ebay click on auto parts etc. put window shades or blinds, If that gets nothing go to half com. This is an aftermarket part not lexus. Seller last name Gurtin. Staten Island N.Y.

 

Can these not still be bought from the dealer?

 

I HAVE A ELECTRIC SUNSHADE FOR SALE IT IS A TAN COLOR. I PURCHASED IT FOR MY 98 LS400 BUT, MY WIFE HAD A ACCIDENT AND TOTAL THE CAR SO I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO FINISH THE INSTALL. LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.

 

how much? and is it for the rear doors or the rear window?
