Chirping Sound From Speedo?
At low speeds I hear a chirping sound coming from the left side of the instrument cluster that slows down as the car comes to a stop. As I speed up the sound seems to disappear, although maybe the sound is simply obscured by the sound of the engine. It sounds like there is a cricket behind the dash. Could it be a speedo cable?

Rolling Chirp
That sounds like it. Hopefully one of the more technically inclined members has an idea.
Every time I drive the car I sit in virtual Lexus silence-except for that @#!*#! CHIRP!

Hmmm... my 95 LS was making that exact same sound, but at higher revs. Basically, it turned out the car was running too lean, and the buzzing/chirping sound was the computer attempting to compensate for the quality of gas which I was putting into my car (Hi Octance, but a local Georgia brand). I've since done an induction cleaning, switched to Chevron gas, and also trying to get into the habit of popping a top end cleaner into the tank every 5K miles or so....
Personal observation.... speaking from a placebo-less perspective (I think), Chevron really seems to make a difference in the car's performance... or maybe the other gas was just so crappy, anything would've been better by comparison. Also, I use the term "computer" generically. The tech had said if that component was bad -can't remember the name of it- buzzing noise would remain after you tried the above. Good luck!

Chevron Solution
Thanks Paradox, but I hear this sound at low speeds. I have my doubts that a change in fuel will affect this problem. I am quite sure I'm hearing a mechanically generated sound possibly from a small gear driven assembly (speedometer?), not computer clicks.
