I have a defective front suspension airbag and would like to convert to coilovers. Can I leave the rear airbags and just convert the fronts? Also looking for a recommendation on the best bang for the buck without breaking the bank. Thanks

I doubt you can do that. The system is going to get confused and continue trying to air up the front until the height level sensors are correct. A custom air ride controller would probably help there, but at that point you're better off investing in higher quality coilovers/struts

Your best action is likely to convert the whole car and disable the air suspension

agreed here. trying to run convention and air simultaneously will be more trouble than it's worth just doing the full conventional conversion in the first place.
