Remote start
i've heard it done before, but it's not as simple as it appears. the key itself disables the factory immobilizer once you insert the key in the ignition (but no need to turn it - you can see the security light stop blinking upon insertion).
i've seen a hidden key under the dash to trick the immobilizer to seeing it, then it can be started remotely afterwards. it's called a transponder bypass:

of course you will lose the security of the factory immobilizer after doing this (where someone can just jam a screw driver in the ignition and start the car) so make sure you have another immobilizer as part of the aftermarket alarm system which i assume is part of the remote start.
