Default broken shifter!

1996 lexus ls400, was in the process of changing the drive shaft couplers when i realized it wouldn’t go into park. Long story short i put a plate on backwards which was preventing the car from going into park, my cousin tried to force it into place snapping this plastic piece of the shifter. is there any way i can just get that piece ? if so where would i get it? also does anyone know how to take it off? any advice would be much appreciated!

look closely at this diagram specifically for 91635-G0630 near bottom left
https://www.japan-parts.eu/lexus/us/...lever-retainer

4 fasteners but not sure what type maybe they are partially hidden?

i got this changed today, when i turned on the car everything seemed fine, the car was running great, until it started to turn off on me, the engine would just die. the “trac off” light keeps flashing and the button does nothing, also the speedometer moves up and down on park, and eventually shuts off, any idea on what this could be?
