I have a 2000 LS400 and need a new under engine cover part 51441-50070 I have looked every where . Would I be able to fit the 1997 part 51441-50050 in place

I believe there was a recent post on this topic and the '97 belly pan is a close fit, not exact. Look for a recent post a month or two ago IIRC.

Thanks I have ordered the 1997 version and will let you know how it fits.

Update I received the cover for the 1997 LS400 and my Shop install today , It DOES NOT FIT , not even close . Back to searching again.

The owner ended up using the 95-97 cover successfully, leaving 2 bolts unused.

sure it's not 100% bolt on, but it should still somewhat work.

I had a different Shop try the 97 engine lower cover on my 2000 LS400 and YES they installed it. The front bumper end only required a couple of hole enlargements and the rear at the oil pan fit perfectly . I had purchased a bag of fittings ,body screws etc that was a great help in the process
