98 Celsior Strange VSC Issues
Having a weird issue that is being really difficult to track down. Issue started out as intermittent but has now become almost constant. The car is way down on power and needs around 1/2 throttle or more to accelerate at the same rate as normally barely touching the pedal would. Gas mileage is horrible when its doing this and the car overall just feels awful. There are no DTCs at all and I cant see anything out of the ordinary using my techstream setup but it is very slow through the cable and to my laptop. Pulled the main ecu right off thinking that was gonna be it but found that it had been replaced sometime with a bosh unit stamped 2001 I think capacitors looked and felt great so I tried looking elsewhere before fully commiting to replacing them. With the diagnostic port under the hood jumped I get this wierd VSC fault only when the car is rolling. Does not matter if its forward or reverse, in gear or neutral. The VSC simply shows a red light and a very quick NG then E. I did some basics like change the plugs and coil boots along with cleaning the TB. Non of this seemed to help. Alternator and battery are new with the battery reading cold 12.7V and varying between 14.2 and 13.5 when running. Was leaning towards some type of wheel speed sensor with it only faulting while rolling but cant see any bad data from any of the 4 through techstream. Anyone have ideas or pointers. I will probably go ahead and do the ecu capacitors this weekend and check over the VSC/ABS ecu while its out if nothing fruitful comes up before then.
Video shows the VSC issue with stopping and moving. Images are the ECU and techstream data with closed and full throttle.
