Passenger Windows Down-Up
It has been hot lately, and my 1995 LS400 is parked outside.
Today I lowered the rear passenger windows a crack, on both sides. Then they won't go up. So my car is parked today in a public garage with the back windows cracked open.
I tried raising the window using the rear door control and it did not act differently from the master control.
This is the first time I've lowered the windows in probably 2-3 years.
The next action would be to lower it entirely and see if that will help it go up entirely. But I haven't touched these windows in 2-3 years so if they stay open I can't park in my public garage. I'll have to go to the shop.
Is there any quirk with LS400 that the window has to be down a certain distance before it goes up?
To be clear - it looks like the window motor is enaging normally for rear passenger windows to go down, but not go up. Drivers and Front passenger windows work great.

Have you tried window controls at the rear doors?
I don't know about the '95 but in my '98 if you put the key in the door, turn and hold the key in the lock position, all the the windows (and moonroof) should close.

Since the windows haven't moved in a long time, it could be surface corrosion on the window regulators or that the contacts for the window switches on the master switch needed cleaning.
Operating them probably scraped off any corrosion/dirt/dust that may have been present. Glad all is fine now
It may be good to lubricate the regulator and clean the switch contacts the next time they're accessible to you
