Question Suspension Help

Hi all. I'm planning on importing a 99' C Version Celsior equipped with the factory air suspension setup. I haven't heard many good things about these given their age so I'm looking to replace them once I get the car. Could you guys give me some pointers on replacing these with struts and coil springs? I'm based in AUS.

Many thanks! I'm new to these forums so I'm still trying to figure out how to search for specific threads.

if you're looking for a stock equivalent, you'll need to source LS400 non-air suspension strut/spring combo - not sure how easily this is found in AUS. in the US the OEM versions are very pricey so there are aftermarket options available.

if you want to go low, look into full bodied coilovers.

Hi mate, thanks for letting me know. To be honest, it's not likely I'll be able to find a set of OEM ones. I've been looking at the Strutmasters air-to-spring conversion kit. Are these compatible with the Celsiors? Are they any good?

If not, what coilovers would you suggest that would give a close enough look and feel? I'm trying to keep the car as stock looking as possible as that is my preference.

Strutmasters is garbage, I would avoid any pre-assembled setup.

If you can source OEM that is the best bet in terms of original ride quality. Bilstein also makes quality damper set for the 95-00 models that is stock ride height and comparable to OEM. Adjustable coilovers would be another option like Tein or BC and install is much simpler than the OEM spring/strut setup.
