Question 93 LS jerks when accelerating & Blinking Check Engine Light

128,xxx miles 93' LS400, bought it 2 months ago, the guy changed coils, spark plugs, plug wires, all fluids, full timing kit before i got it. It was all good until about a month ago when i stepped on it in about 30%, it didn't want to go above 1900rpm, and then the car started jerking and CEL lit up, the RPM needle was jumping from 1.2k to 1.6k, it didn't stop jerking until i let of the gas, and then the CEL turned off. I was told to clean the MAF, did that and it helped with the uneven idle a bit, but it was still jerking same as before. The car also has a terrible gas mileage, it's on about 11mpg. I pulled the codes and got 3 of them, 24, 31, 41, then i reset the ecu, the car still jerks but it shows only code 41, which is for the throttle position sensor i believe. I'm waiting for the sensor now to get back in stock, but could anything else possibly cause that issue?

Yes the code 41 is for the TPS. The only time I got that code was when my ECU was bad. Very common problem, and if you haven't had the ECU rebuilt, (new caps) it should be done. Here's some reading on that; https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...capacitor.html
The other codes 24 and 31 are for the AFM. (Air Flow Meter) Another common problem. I don't know who told you to clean it but you shouldn't have, that just ruins it. It's not like a newer MAF sensor, which could be cleaned. In my opinion, if you get the ECU rebuilt your jerking will go away.
If you do change the TPS make sure you adjust it correctly. The directions are on this forum if you search for them.

Edit; If you don't have the related threads hooked up, the ECU rebuild helped this guy with his hesitation. (jerks)

Thank you, I should have checked the ECU earlier, i will take a look at it tomorrow and see if anything leaks. About the MAF, i only sprayed it carefully with some compressed air, i hope i didn't damage it though.

Just an FYI, on the ECU as I had mine repaired recently and it went very well, <1/2 cost of buying a reconditioned one. I had it serviced by Darryl Geller in Atlanta. You can search his name on here and you will find he does great work. Was a real effort to get mine out of my 96 as I had both a CD player and after market radio install that put all kinds of wires in the way. There are a few YT videos on getting it out and they were all helpful. Good luck.

Thank you for the recommendations but I'm living in Poland, so the shipping costs would probably exceed the repair costs, I'll need to find someone locally who could fix that. I'll be pulling out the ECU today, I'll update the thread when I get it out.
