Anyone using all LED bulb??
Hey guys - Ive done my fair share of searching....digging through old posts and i havent really seen anything where all rear bulbs and front turn signal bulbs were turned to LED's.....i love LEDs
gotta have em. Anyways - Just checking to see if anyone out there has attempted this or has some insight, I know BananaGS was talking about doing it but i havent heard anything (busy guy). Any issues with the lower resistance of LEDs for turn signals etc.... faster flashing....etc...
Im really looking for that instant on/off look that comes with the LED's - for my brakes / turn signals.

1: need to use an electronic flasher is you are goind to LED, cost about 8 bux for an electronic flasher.
You also need more electronic to maintain constant power to the LEDs, automotive power is NOT contanst and will reduce the life of LED A LOT.
2: Brake light, the only DOT approved LED are the LED made by Lumiled.
www.lumiled.com
- Snap-ON LED is the LED they used in the new Cadillac, but hard to solder to a circuit board due to their design.
- Superflux is also DOT approved for automotive application, I think the new Infinity use this and so is Mercedes
Notes: putting an LED DOT approved in a non LED brake light lense does NOT make it DOT approve.
Thus, even you can combine multiple LED for more light, this will still be strictly for show.
(I got a better idea, still keep the LED legal, maybe I can try out next month, hee hee, got to order some LEDs)
I've done a lot of research on LED and call up a few LED companies already, I want to get the LED that is produce equivalent or better light than the existing filnament bulb.
Notes: LED may look brigher, but it DOES NOT produce equivalent light as conventional halogen bulb.
The MOST powerful LED in the market is 5W, make my Lumiled, cost $30 for EACH LED
cheers, I just finished my thesis, got to do some more hw for other classes, take haft day off from work today to finish them, ....shoot, my lexus is mad at me now, I have not taking care of her for a while. hee hee
I will give her an LED upgrade soon, that will cheer her up.
