Question How to aim headlamps lower or higher?

I looked in the factory manuals, but couldn't find information on how to raiser or lower the headlight beams. There is a metal bolt/rod that comes out from the headlamp housing and points towards the rear of the car. Is that the adjustment rod for the verticle aiming of the headlamps?

Thanks in advance for the help!

yeah...for my 99 Es3...using a mechanical wrench really helped raising the headlights or lowering them...you can tell which way they are tilting by the bubble tube in the motor's plastic casing...

Lex,

So are you saying that metal rod is the adjustment rod? Thanks for the reply...

Heyma,

Hey. I've done readjustments with my SC. You should be able to see atleast 2 for the lo beams and 2 for the hi-beams. The far most outside screw/long rod, use an 8mm wrench to turn it (that's for the vertical alignment) while the one next to it with a big circular thing is the horizontal alignment (should be at 0)
