2006 IS350 Headlight Issues
Hey CL,
Been a while since I've been on the forums, but was hoping to get some assistance / answers to some headlight issues I've had recently. In this past year, I've run into multiple issues with my headlights:
1) Driver side headlight out - replaced with a new OEM light bulb
2) Passenger headlight out - replaced with a new OEM light bulb
3) Headlight system would flicker then go out (believe this had to do with the AFS) - mechanic got me a new seat of headlights (trying to remember what was replaced but i believe it was the entire headlight/housing for both driver and passenger side)
Everything was working fine until this week when I had my alternator light come on. Got that fixed today by replacing the alternator and having my battery recharged and now I just noticed that my passenger headlight no longer turns on.
Any solutions / advice? Thinking it's probably something electrical but I'm not well versed in that area at all. Thanks in advance everyone.

Did your mechanic ever mention the ballast module? Not sure about the Lexus IS models, but many GS owners had similar issues regarding the HID headlights. The ballast was determined to be the culprit not the headlight bulbs.

Water dissolves more substances than any other solvent. Don't believe me? What caused over 1 billion dollars in damages in the recent hurricanes? Hint: it wasn't strong winds.
It's your ballast. Water is getting into it and is causing corrosion.
