Default Turn signal on, headlight off.

I have a 1998 gs300 and I am trying to find a relay that I can wire in up by the headlight, that when I turn the left turn signal on the left headlight will go off while the left signal is on and then as soon as the signal goes off the headlight will come back on a second later. The new cars are doing this. The main reasons I want to do this is because the turn signal gets washed out by the headlight and it's hard to see the turn signal. I have been looking for a relay for this for days. I know some one has done this already.

Maybe a brighter signal light would be the solution? What you're looking for is a switchback circuit I have not come across just the circuit (they must be out there) of course there are many switchback bulbs.

I can think of a way to do this though, buy a switchback LED strip and use the circuit (it's external) along with a relay.

That's exactly what I described you need a switchback circuit wired into the headlights. Either make your own, find a module for this purpose, or do what I said buy an LED strip that has a switchback circuit and use just the circuit.

I bought a couple of sets of those switch back led strips a while back I'll try using them.
