SC300 climate control question - what lighting is used?
soon i will be having my dash taken off to install a new head unit and do a few other things, and since everything will be out i figured i'd try and have the burnt out light bulb replaced in my climate control (you can see the part behind the temperature display is not lit). that is where the confusion starts.
i reserached some things on clublexus, and as far as i could see there were 3 bulbs behind the display and 3 behind the bulbs. however, the guys at the lexus dealership told me that there were no bulbs behind the display, and that the lighting is part of the LCD screen. is this how it is setup? i've never taken it out myself so i can't say i have verified anything, and i'd really rather change light bulbs than buy a new climate control unit to fix that little problem.

i gotta say, the guy in TN that does all the work for you is excellent! i just contacted him and will have my unit sent out shortly. i'm going to purchase the same hyperwhites as shown here:
