Default HELP: Disable flashing low-beam headlight when Alarm/Panic is activated.

CL members and gurus:

Not sure if this thread should be here or in the Electronics section...but I will let the Moderator decide....

When the factory alarm / panic functions is activated.....I noticed the low-beam headlights flick on and off as well as the parking lights, horn, etc.....

Since I installed aftermarket HIDs (or even if you got stock HIDs from the dealer), won't this flashing eventually mess up the ballast igniter or HID bulb?

Anyone know how to disable just the flashing low-beam headlight when the factory alarm / panic is activated?

Thanks in advance.

Pete

No, can't do. The headlight is control by Body ECU No 1, and part of the alarm is also inside ECU no 1.
(shared ECU)
I don't think you want to take that thing out, it's every hard to get to (driver side, behind the fuse box)
Flashing Lbeam is per lexus design, not a malfunction or anything. The service manual states "that the LB will flash when you push the panic button.

but at least with my alarm(s), it never comes on ever, hee hee, I don't think I have to worry about this (I have a panic button on my Code alarm, I don't use the factory alarm ever, only if the door is open, then both factory and aftermarket alarm would come one, any other time, just the aftermarket alarm (which blinks just the parking light hee hee )
