Default HID lighting survey:

If you have them or experience with them,... can you post what brand you chose and what the color output is for them.

I have been researchin' this for a bit now,.... and have seen Phillips Ultinons (sp?), K2, Vision, Panasonic, and some other off brands,...but no write ups other than how much brighter it is (obvious). I know each cars reflector/project affects the output color,...and since I have a SC400, I figured I'd contain my survey those with the SC lamps.

i used to have k2. wasn't happy with it because it was too purple, which made things seem dimmer, although pictures that i took clearly show an improvement in lighting. i sold my k2 kit. i wouldn't recommend it unless you like the purple look.

Mcculluch. take about 30 sec for it to warm up. nice warm up color. becomes nite and white. when it warms up it makes a really noticable high pitch noise. 5300k looks pure white all the time

BMW OEM. about 10 sec warm up time. tinge of yellow at top of cut off line. 4100k. looks yellow durind day and upclose. from far and night time it looks more blue

Hella 6000k Ballst , unsure of the bulb name. when light is turned on lights up blue settles to a whiteish blue. Good light output.
