does anyone know if "hanabi" brand HID's are any good?

 

Hani who? Haven't heard of them. Could it be Japanese?

I just ordered a kit and did a lot of extensive research on the topic before making a purchase. Since these are the headlights and I didn't want them to stop working suddenly I felt I needed to research what would be the best most reliable system to buy. I went with a Hella/Phillips system with genuine Phillips bulbs. I found that the kits made in asian countries were cheap and have not provided anyone with decent long term results. The difference in price between these kits differed substantually and that is what caused me to become suspicious of the quality and reliability these kits provide. I would strongly recommend a quality hid kit with bulbs and ballasts made in Germany such as Phillips and Hella. It is up to you !!!!

 

i would generally agree that some of the goods made in the asian countries are not that great of a quality. but hanabi is made in japan no? our cars are made in japan too.... I much rather trust the japanese made equipment then any other.... phillips is japanese too no?

 

That is true. I have still never heard of that company so I would definitely stay away. I cannot believe some of the crappy HID systems people are trying on E Bay and other places. Hids4Less has the highest prices I have ever seen and they don't guarantee what kind of ballasts you will get. I bought my kit from Autolamps-online and they deliver what they promise.
