First off, I've had a mobilehid.com kit installed on my 2006 IS350 for about 2 years. A few weeks ago I noticed my driver side headlight started to get condensation on the inside of the lens when the car was driven in the rain. I figured I would check around all the places moisture could be getting in to the housing from the back side when I got a few hours to spare. Not a pressing issue since the car is parked out of the rain under a carport.
Well, the last couple of nights when I pulled back in after being out for the evening, I noticed my driver side light was out again.
Tonight I made a point to watch and see if I could catch it. After it goes out, I shut the lights off then back on, and it fires back up. It seems the light goes out with no particular pattern. Going down the road or sitting at a traffic light. In 3 mins or in 10 mins. Doesn't matter. During a 30 minute drive it went out 6 times.
I need some help guys. I'm sure I can find where the moisture is coming from, but the intermittent bulb problem has me stumped. Bad bulb, bad ballast? Any ideas?

A simple isolation test would find your problem.
Swap the ballasts on each side, if the problem persists on the same side you have a bad bulb, if the problem switches over you have a bad ballast.
Find out if the bulbs are powered by an AC or DC ballast and then find the correct bulb or ballast replacement for it.
