'95 SC300 fog light issue
Hey guys,
With the nice weather this weekend, I finally decided I was going to change my driver side fog light out.
I had attempted once before, but had about 5 minutes, and wasn't able to get it out all the way; and I also was not able to get the backing part (the black one that you have to turn on pretty forcibly) all the way back on. This was close to a year ago.
So I jack the car up, get my hand in there, remove the light (didn't realize it had a tiny wire on it; until I ripped the bulb out of it, then I realized it was a part of the light, oops). Get the harness out, go to VatoZone, get two of them, just in case the color doesn't match up.
I get home, plug it in, seal it back up just fine, turn on headlights, turn on fogs; I get nothing on the light that was already out. The bulb itself is just fine (or so it looks). I used my multimeter to check, and the harness is getting power just fine (I think it was somewhere around 11.5 - 11.9V).
I assume my issue stemmed from allowing the housing to sit slightly open for a long period of time. Any fixes?
Cliffs: changed out fog, not lightning. harness to mini-fog harness still gets power.
Thanks!
