Here is where I mounted my ballasts. Both are secured with the velcro with 3M tape supplied in the kit. This secured them better than I thought.

You can see the ABS lines on the right hand side of the picture - those were a pain - they really got in the way and made getting the light in a real challenge. Instead of putting the light in the socket then attaching the plug from the ballast I attached the light to the ballast and then inserted the light.

I don't know if I can put myself though that. I don't even want to try to get at the parking lights. Things would be easier if I took the headlight out - but I didn't. Didn't really know how. Does the front bumper really have to come off?

cI want to comment on my HID's after having them for a day. Well, they suck in the daytime - they don't do anything!!! Stupid sunlight is like a SUPER HID bulb

I've never been more ready for it to get dark outside as I was today. So, around 9pm I went out for a drive. Soooo nice, I LOVE these lights - never will I go back to halogens. I just can't! I mean our LS has HID's, but it's just different having them on my car.

These lights are the best and they put such a white light on the ground. I went searching for the darkest roads. Signs and road reflectors lit up like crazy. Did I mention I'm crazy, yeah, little bit.

Sometime soon I will compare OEM vs. my Stage I HID's for beam pattern on the wall and what they look like facing them. I have so much time on my hands That is, until I start summer school -I have one class. Then I'll still have a lot of time on my hands

I can see the headlines in the local paper in June, 2003:

Local Lexus Owner Hasn't Seen the Sun in Over a Year!

"HID Headlights changed my life", says a local Lexus owner, only
known as LexRX. When asked why he never comes out during
the day, LexRx replied, "Well, they suck in the daytime - they
don't do anything!!! Stupid sunlight is like a SUPER HID bulb".

LexRX (See photo) has lost most of his eyesight, except at or
near the 6000k spectrum that his HID headlights produce, leaving
him incapable of driving any other vehicle exept his Lexus RX 300
with the "Shiny Chrome Ball".

LOL...that's hilarious A character for sure. If one didn't know better, they'd think that actually was my picture. I do wear sunglasses similar to those My real pic is in my profile I'm really not green/blue either

What would I do without my HID and ball?

More HID pics I took one last night comparing my kit to the OEM LS400 HID. This just shows are the lighting compares to OEM. The brightness and color are the same. The only thing missing is the optics from an OEM HID equipped Lexus.

Oh, remember how in the first post I said I was having trouble keeping on light on? Well, I thought I had it fixed, but I didn't. I worked on it last night and narrowed the problem down to one particular wire. I've emailed SupremePowerParts about it.

I'm not getting a good connection because of a corroded copper connector.

aye crap... get a replacement... damn them

but ya, very very nice... just like me i cant go back to halogens... HIDS have spoiled me . i just love the superwhite lights on the ground.

as for mounting your ballast, i dunno it seems like you mounted the driver side ballast to the battery... is that a bad idea?? thats what i'm thinking because what if u needed to remove your battery... then your gonna have your ballast stuck on to it... just thinking... mabbies its not a bad place

haha Paddys crazy... hes a poet also

There's actually cover around the batter - I attached it to that. I used velcro to attache it too, so if I ever have to remove the cover I can take the ballast right off.

I emailed Eric from SPP lastnight and he called and emailed me today. Very nice guy and very helpful. He is going to mail me another wire asap. He wants some pics of my RX with the HID conversion so I told him I'd do it for him - a good job - but I need the quickest shipping you can give on the wire. So, he's sending it FedEX next day, or 2-day. Something like that
