Hi,

As you saw in the pictures posted there were no error messages, no special adaptors (and there was a direct fit), no bulb cutting needed, and no error codes.

Isn't that bluer than the stock Lexus 4000K HIDs (4300K LEDs on 600). I have the LS600hL LED headlights and would like the HID fogs' light temperature to match, or be close anyway.

Also, what is your pricing within Canada? Shipping?

Hi,

I would suggest going with the 4300k 9006 HID kit if you wanted to best match your OEM HID low beams. Please view this link:

http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Xtreme_Dig...ts_p/xt-4k.htm

You would need to select "XT-4K-9006" given that your vehicle uses a 9006 bulb for the low beams.

Upon checkout, please use the "CL" coupon code to save an extra $25.

Pricing will be added to your order upon checkout and will vary depending on what shipping information you provide. We ship via UPS fully traceable.

Subtle but important correction, my car is the LS600hL and its low beams are LEDs, not HIDs.

But that's a moot point. I'm inquiring here about replacing the stock "fog" bulbs & circuit with HIDs.

Sorry about that.

I can only pull up information on the LS600H. Can you confirm whether your fog lights are 9006?

your owners manual (which i know is more of an encyclopedia for the LS series at this point) does tell you the bulb size for the fogs somewhere in there.

Yes, it is 9006 and will be what I order, however that wasn't my original question.

My question has to do with color temperature matching the 4300 LED low beams - or as close as possible anyway.

That would appear to be 4000, right?

The LS600hl's fog light is the same exact fog light on the LS460.

I would ask other LS460 owners what color they are using, but matching LED color temp will be quite hard seeing we don't know what kind of LED diode is being used.

I'd do some homework, cause this is all new to us here.

GL!

Thanks. I'll make that call. A difference of 300K is hardly distinguishable anyway, so I'll go with 4000K.

Here are the Lexus OEM supplier's low beam specs for the 600's white LEDs. I dread the thought of ever relacing these one day...

The fogs on the other hand should be no sweat.

Hi,

Thank you for the detailed response and information.

I would suggest going with either the 4300k or 5000k kit. One way or another I don't think you will get a 100% match however both the 4300k and 5000k will be very very close.

For example on sample No. 3, your exposure is 1/30 sec. & ISO 100 "before", and 1/8 sec. & ISO 320 "after", which really makes the latter look much better. Whether deliberate or not, this is not a fair comparison. Any way you can retake the "after" pics using the "before" settings? IOW, 1/8 sec. & ISO 320.

Hi,

Sorry.

That was me.

I took the pre-HID photos with flash.

Then I took the HID photos without flash.

I didn't realize the difference in exposure with my point-and-shoot until it was too late.

For cameras, if I can't wind the film and charge the flash, I don't know how to use it.

What's ISO? And how can you change the flash speed?

But I'm pretty sure you get the idea...
